Lee has been widely recognized by colleagues and customers for his engineering skills, product innovations and in-depth understanding of complex manufacturing environments, which in turn, enables him to ‘design for manufacturability’. Before founding US MOTION, he held senior level positions including automation / manufacturing process engineer and manager at HP and Tektronix. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley where his emphasis of study was in microprocessor-based machine design.

Prior to founding US MOTION, Darren had over ten years of experience in software design, programming, engineering and consulting. He has worked as a software engineer and project manager for Tektronix, TriSys, FEI Company and Audio Precision and has extensive knowledge of many programming languages and environments. Darren founded a software consulting company that performed work for Hewlett-Packard, Tektronix and FEI Company. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Washington State University.

Jørgen Rasmussen, Engineering Projects Manager

Jørgen joined the US MOTION team in 2006 as the Engineering Projects Manager. While at US MOTION, he has had a variety of accomplishments. Some of these include designing and implementing an endosure for a new Plasma Gun at FEI, and designing and implementing a wind turbine generator (including developing the manufacturing process for the stator and design). Jørgen is familiar with multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, and has held senior level positions with such companies as Ascend Instruments and FEI.

Richard Lee, Senior Electrical Engineer

Richard has been in the electronics design industry for over twenty years. He has both a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and a master of science in electrical engineering degree from the University of Wyoming. Before coming to US MOTION, he held senior level design positions at both Vivato and Agilent Technologies. Richard's areas of expertiese include schematic capture, PCB layout and design, high speed memory design, and more.

John Bushby, Fabrication Manager

John began working at US MOTION in 2005. During his time here, he has been responsible for machine shop scheduling and ordering, quoting new projects and tooling, and managing jobs to meet due dates, to name a few. He has knowledge of and the ability to operate CNC Mills, Manual Lathes, Manual Mills, CNC EDM Machines, Wire EDM, Surface Grinders, and both I.D. and O.D. Grinders. He has over 32 years combined education and experience in his field.

Larissa Bunker, Office Manager

Since 2006, Larissa has served as the office manager at US MOTION. While she fulfills a wide array of duties at US MOTION, a few of her key functions include bookkeeping, order entry, and accounts payable and receivable. She also assists customers with orders, suppliers with purchase orders and questions, and the US MOTION staff with HR and payroll. She plays a vital role here at US MOTION and is always eager to help.
